As a published writer with an English BA and clients with their books in Barnes & Noble, I understand both sides of the fiction writing process, which allows me to provide you with a thorough, considerate, and skillful copyedit for your fiction manuscript.

There’s nothing more important during the editing process than preserving the author’s unique voice and writing style, which is why I only change what is necessary to elevate and perfect the audience’s reading experience, nothing more, and nothing less.

Copyediting services cover:

• Spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Wordiness
• Tense inaccuracies
• Sentence structure
• Readability
• Consistency

Edits are made using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes feature. Upon delivery, you will receive two copies of your manuscript, one with all suggested changes, and one clean copy with all proposed changes applied.

By providing you with both copies, you maintain total control over which edits of mine to keep and which to reject, leaving the highest level of creative control in your hands, and, on the off-chance we get lucky and are in total agreement, you’re ready to hit the ground running in your next step with the clean copy.

Edits follow the CMOS (Chicago Manual of Style) unless another style is preferred.

Delivery time for Copy Editing is typically between 7-14 days depending on word count. A deposit of 40% of the order total is due upfront, with the remaining 60% due 3 days after receiving the edited and clean copies.
