Developmental editing with me provides you with an extra set of eyes and feedback on plot and character development, voice and tone, the pacing of the writing, and suggestions for strengthening the writing itself.
As a writer, I understand how nerve-wracking the editing process is, especially when branching out past loved ones as your first readers, so my comments and suggestions are always honest, but kindly worded. We’re on the same team, and editing with me is always a no-tears-shed experience!

Feedback is given through margin comments in Word throughout the document, with a final recap of my overall thoughts and suggestions at the end of the manuscript. Please note that Developmental Editing is feedback-based and does not include copy editing of any kind. Any form of heavy copy-editing to your manuscript on my part would impose my own creative voice on your work and would fall under Ghostwriting, which I do not currently offer.
Delivery time for Developmental Editing is typically between 7-14 days depending on word count. A deposit of 40% of the order total is due upfront, with the remaining 60% due 3 days after receiving deliverables.
