Privacy Policy

Full disclosure, I’m not even sure how cookies work! The only information I’ll ever need from you will be strictly what is necessary for the invoicing process, email communication, and a .doc or .docx copy of your work sent over email to complete our project. Once our project is finished and final payment is complete, I’ll only keep our email thread so so that if future communication arises, I know exactly who you are and what project I’m discussing!

Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

Your work is yours, always. I am thoroughly committed to protecting your intellectual property and respecting your creative rights throughout the editing process.

  • Complete Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of your manuscript, characters, story, and all creative content.
  • Confidentiality: All manuscripts and materials shared with me are kept strictly confidential and will never be shared, reproduced, or distributed without your explicit permission.
  • No Claim to Your Work: I make no claim to any portion of your intellectual property. My role is purely as an editor providing professional feedback and suggestions.
  • Secure Handling: Your manuscript files are stored securely and deleted upon project completion or at your request.

Your story is your art, and I’m here simply to help you polish it. Nothing more, nothing less!

Payment Policy

A deposit of 40% of your order total will be required to initiate service, with the remaining 60% due no later than 72 hours after receiving the deliverables for your order and your final invoice.

For your ease of mind, the deadline for payment will be clearly stated on your final invoice.

Orders for a full-length manuscript normally take 1-2 weeks, so payment organically follows a sort of “payment plan” and increases cost management for your editing process.

Late fee policy: For final payments, a late fee of $50 will be implemented for every 24-hour period past due of the 3-day deadline. After 7 days past due, if no communication is received by me from you, I’ll have no choice but to send the remaining total of 60% and an additional $500 extreme-late fee to collections. (Please don’t make me do this, it would be a major bummer for both of us!)

Data

Only data necessary for invoicing (Full name, address, email) will be collected from you through your quote request form. Your data is only relevant upon our communication for the duration of our time working together. Once our project and payment are complete, only your email will be retained for further future communication.
